For we walk by faith, not by sight. Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. And without faith it is impossible to please God, because anyone who comes to him must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who earnestly seek him.
For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God. Who is it that overcomes the world? Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.
But Scripture has locked up everything under the control of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on them. Then Jesus said, “Did I not tell you that if you believe, you will see the glory of God?” "For God did not send the Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.
Therefore there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me.
